J.P.s thoughts on his new  Custom Dread, R/W & Sitka

You Are The Man........

Our new guitar and I are settling in together just fine, thank you very much.
You nailed it for me!  This guitar is exactly what I have been wanting for a very long time now.  It fits my body like none other ever has.  When I pull it to me, it feels like an old lap cat settling in for a petting session. I get that comfortable feeling being draped over me.  The action feels like magnets are pulling my fingers on both hands to just the right spot every time.  I have been at it for several hours a day since I got home and my fingers are a little sore now but, I still can't put it down.
The tone excites me every time I touch it.  Up until now, my favorite sounding guitar has been a 30+ year old Japanese made Yamaha I have owned for years.  Literally, a dozen people have tried to buy the old Jap. Yamaha from me because the sound is so unusually good.  Now, old the Yamaha is back in it's chip board case.

I  played a little for my wife who knows nothing of guitars.  The first words out of her mouth was " Wow, that sounds a lot better than that old foreign made thing you have been playing".  She is right .
I can't tell you how pleased with you I am. But, I gotta' try anyhow.  You have far exceeded my expectations.
Last night, I had my guitar group over for our Wednesday nite meetings.  That was the first time they had heard the new guitar.  And hear it they did.  The 2 Martins D 28's and a Gibson Jumbo were covered up by my sound.  I even got asked to lighten up a bit on the volume while playing a little rhythm.

Your Friend in Florida.  J.P.
